The rumors of the Symbian OS’s death are grossly exaggerated. Nokia continues to improve its proprietary operating system and sales continue to be robust. The following list enumerates just some of the reasons why Symbian is superior to Android.
Price. With less need for memory and processing power, Symbian phones are far more affordable.
GPS: Ovi maps are available off line and are just as useful as Google maps.
Camera: Nokia phones offer higher quality camera options with a far more user-friendly interface.
Battery life: There is no other way to put it, Symbian smartphones simply have a better battery life than Android ones.
Optional Data Plan: Symbian phones are equipped to handle data transfer but do not require it as most Andoid phones do.
Support: Nokia supports its own product. When you have a problem, there is no runaround with third party servicing.
Fragmentation: Symbian offers an integrated and overseen developer network. Every application works. This is just not the case with Android.
Privacy: Its protestations aside, Google obviously does not value its client’s privacy. Nokia understands and is dedicated to the utmost in client confidentiality.
Nokia desires a respectful, long-lasting relationship with its clientele. Unlike its competitors, Nokia is not looking to turn a quick buck or execute a shell game. True value for your money is their aim.
